Up until Friday, here is the list of foods that I could eat:
- apples
- oranges
- peaches
- carrots (raw)
- cucumber
- toast (with cinnamon and sugar)
- Kraft Dinner (if I didn't think about it too much)
- Oats 'n Honey bars
- Golden Grahams (plain, no milk - but they were getting too sweet)
- Cheerios (plain, no milk)
And that's it. To combat morning (ALL DAY) sickness, I was trying to eat frequent small "meals" from my short list of tolerable foods. But I couldn't eat enough to stave off the nausea. How many apples can one eat in a day? I was sick of most food. I spent more than half the day on the couch, trying not to feel like crap. And then suddenly, briefly, I wouldn't feel like crap, for a blessed 15 minute period... until I felt like crap again. Total suckage. I was 8 weeks pregnant, the nausea was only getting worse, and I was faced with at least 6 more weeks of suffering.
Enter Diclectin. What a wonderful drug. I ate meat on Saturday. I can take the bus without wanting to hurl. And I'm not lying on the couch for half a day, each day.
